Meet our Vet
Dr. Maral Rahmani is a board-certified Poultry Veterinarian with over a decade of experience.
Maral graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and later completed a residency and PhD program in Poultry Diseases and Management. She also earned her Master’s degree in Poultry Nutrition in 2017 at the University of Manitoba and became board-certified with the American College of Poultry Veterinarians in 2023. With extensive experience in poultry medicine across Canada and internationally, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the poultry industry.
She has conducted research on gut microbiome and antimicrobial stewardship in collaboration with WHO-affiliated labs, publishing numerous papers in leading international journals. She was recently recognized with an animal welfare award by the Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada (AWFC).
Her practice is dedicated to delivering precise diagnostics, effective management strategies, welfare assessments, and advanced strategies for disease prevention and control. Inspired by her grandparents’ farms and her love for animals, she has dedicated her career to supporting the people and flocks that sustain our communities.
